MICK WINS PORTUGAL!

Mick Fanning has claimed his third win for 2009 at the Rip Curl Pro Search in Portugal today. Fanning defeated close mate Bede Durbidge in the final cementing his lead in the now two-horse race for the 2009 ASP World Title [results below]. Only Mick and Parko are now in contention going into the the last event of the year, the Pipeline Masters.

We contacted Mick by phone after his win and he had this message to share with visitors to this site:

“I’m so over the moon right now. I wanna thank all of you for tuning into my site and offering me your support and encouragement. It means a lot and has helped me fight back from an average start on the ratings into the lead in the past four events. I can’t wait for Hawaii. I so proud to be part of such and awesome battle. This is the stuff Parko and I dreamed about and talked about as grommets. It’s gonna be awesome and I’ll give as much insight as I can through my site. Thanks again.” – Mick
