The reason I ride tokoros instead of DHD’s in these waves is because they feel a bit better. Wade Tokoro spends his life shaping boards for these waves and DH is still learning. Plus we don’t get waves like this at home to try them enough. I am lucky because I can choose between the two of them. Two amazing shapers making me heaps of magic boards.

I know it might sound obvious but with the speed and power that Teahupoo carries, surely you simply need a board board set up you can completely rely on. As the wave at it’s best will create the best conditions for a powerful first turn to set up for a full on barrel. So your quiver for Tahiti sounds ideal. Hope things go well for you Mick be so good to see you in the final.
