Mick Makes Semis At Event 1

Mick has moved into equal third position on the ASP World Tour ratings after a semi final finish at the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast. It was a great start to the 2009 season for Mick who showed great form through the early rounds and had the highest heat score average (16.80) of the event. The final day of the competition was staged in big shifty conditions at Kirra. Mick was defeated by his good mate and fierce rival Joel Parkinson in the semi finals. Joel went on to beat Adriano de Souza to claim his second Quiksilver Pro Title and take the ratings lead. The next World Tour stop is the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach.
